Still at Poolstock.

Cheshire County League, Lancashire Combination, the FA Cup, the FA Vase, founder members of the North West Counties League. Rovers have been part of Wigan football for three generations.

Our history
  1. 1959

    Founded

    Wigan Rovers are formed and join the Cheshire County League.

  2. 1966

    Champions

    Lancashire Combination Second Division winners and promotion to the First Division.

  3. 1967–73

    The FA Cup

    Four FA Cup campaigns. Best run: a First Qualifying Round replay win over Horwich RMI in 1968–69.

  4. 2024

    Mid Lancashire

    The first team steps up to the Mid Lancashire Football League.
